Goods-only lift

Rhinolift Goods Lift

The Rhinolift is a high-performance goods-only lift with rated loads of 500, 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000kg, specially designed for buildings with a high turnover of goods between floors. Everything it needs to run is housed within its own freestanding modular structure, so there is no machine room and no major construction work inside your building.

A goods lift built for busy buildings

We install the Rhinolift, a goods lift with rated loads of 500, 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000kg, specially designed for buildings with high turnover and movement of goods between floors, such as shopping centres, department stores, hypermarkets and industrial installations.

It needs no machine room and no pit to excavate. The geared traction motor is housed in the upper part of its freestanding modular structure, which is fully capable of bearing the weight of the whole system and incorporates a 100mm shaft pit, so it needs a straightforward loading ramp. Alternatively, a 100mm pit can be built below the structure.

Installation is designed to cause the minimum disruption to your business, with no major construction work inside the building, and the lift's energy consumption is significantly lower than that of conventional lift platforms, which reduces operating costs.

Goods only, or goods with an attendant

The standard Rhinolift is designed exclusively for goods transport. It is not a passenger lift, and no person should travel in it with the goods.

Where heavy goods need to travel with one or two competent attendants, the Rhinolift PRO adds a car operating panel with a constant pressure push button, an attendant key switch and an emergency stop, plus a full-height light curtain at the car entrance, vision panels in the landing doors and an alarm in case of entrapment.

Cars are built in steel plate with a hard-wearing coated finish, and can be fitted with buffer rails and kick plates, rubber or chequer plate floors, and manual picket gates. Both versions are fully compliant with the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
